PAT Testing

All mains powered equipment that we repair is PAT tested as part of the service before it is returned to you.

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the acronym used to describe the examination of portable electrical appliances and equipment to ensure they are safe to use.

There are two main components to PAT testing. Firstly, a visual inspection to ensure that cables, plugs, casings and connections are not damaged. Secondly, an electronic test using specialist equipment to ensure that there are no non-visible defects within the insulation of the appliance.

We do not offer external PAT Testing services.

Insurance Quotes and Repairs

We do offer Estimates suitable for Insurance purposes. We would require the device for inspection and confirmation of the damage.

Inspection reports are chargeable, which would be deducted from the final repair cost should the repair be completed. The inspection fee must be paid before the inspection and covers the return carriage to you if the estimate is declined.

During the inspection, the Technician will inspect the device and report his findings. We will then email a PDF copy of the inspection report to you, which is suitable for insurance purposes.
